Isle of Thorns - Ladies Invitation Match
Friday 28th June 2024
Our ladies team, consisting of Shaaron Whittaker, Beryl Batterbee, Brenda Lynch and Julia Larkin, had a very enjoyable and rewarding afternoon at Isle of Thorns BC, where the afternoon started well, with Beryl winning the “Spider” and a bottle of something very drinkable!
We played 5 ends against Felbridge(won), Isle of Thorns (won), West Hoathly (lost by 1) and Buxted (lost by 3)
This was followed by a splendid cream tea in the clubhouse, after which the results were announced with a big surprise…..we came 3rd out of 8 teams!
Further prizes were to come, with a collective 8 wins in the raffle. All in all, a very enjoyable and successful afternoon.
